Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, combine minced fish, ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, coriander leaves, breadcrumbs, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
  • STEP 2.Shape the mixture into small balls and deep-fry them until golden brown. Drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  • STEP 3.In a separate pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears. Then, add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.
  • STEP 5.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 6.Add water and bring the gravy to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  • STEP 7.Gently add the fried fish koftas to the gravy and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or naan bread.
