Ingredients for Feijioada Recipe

  • 500 gram dried red beans
  • 400 gram spare ribs
  • 100 gram bacon
  • 1 No.s pig spark
  • 1 No.s pig ear
  • 1 No.s blood sausage
  • 1 No.s meat sausage
  • 1 No.s small cabbage
  • 1 No.s big onion
  • 3 No.s garlic cloves
  • 4 No.s Tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup tomato pulp
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 No.s bay leaf
  • As required Salt and pepper

Directions: Feijioada Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Soak the beans overnight. Season the meat with salt and pepper and set aside.

step 2

  • STEP 1.Cook the beans in water with salt and oil. Keep aside

step 3

  • STEP 2.Cook meat with water and chorizo. Remove from water and cut in small pieces. Remove and place in cold water.

step 4

  • STEP 3.Peel and wash onion and garlic and chop it. Wash the tomatoes and cut them. Heat a pan and remaining oil with onion and garlic and let it saute.

step 5

  • STEP 4.Add the cooked meat and beans with broth. Then add cabbage and chorizo and remove from heat and serve.
