  • 1/4 cup Tamarind Pulp
  • 0.13 cup Jaggery Or Brown Sugar
  • 1.25 En Chilies, Chopped
  • 1/2 inch Ginger, Grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 1/2 cup Water

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a saucepan, combine tamarind pulp, jaggery, green chilies, ginger, salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, and water.
  • STEP 2.Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10-15 minutes, until the chutney thickens.
  • STEP 3.Remove from heat and let the chutney cool.
  • STEP 4.Transfer the chutney to a blender and blend until smooth.
  • STEP 5.If the chutney is too thick, you can add a little water to thin it out.
  • STEP 6.Serve the Fafda Chutney with Fafda or other snacks.
