Crunchy and simple tea snack recipe. It is prepared from chan dal, toor dal, rice and arhar dal dough. The dough is spreaded and the fadas are taken out for frying.

Ingredients for Fafda Recipe

  • 100 gram Rice
  • 100 gram Chana dal
  • 100 gram Arhar dal
  • 100 gram Toor dal
  • 1 cup Curd
  • 2 tablespoon Ginger garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Cumin seeds
  • As required a few Curry leaves
  • As required Oil  for cooking
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida
  • 1 tablespoon Cooking soda
  • 1 tablespoon Fenugreek seeds

Directions: Fafda Recipe

  • STEP 1.Take 100 grams of gramflour, add salt, a teaspoon of carrom seeds, turmeric powder, baking powder and oil, mix well.
  • STEP 2.Knead the mixture in a medium soft in texture. Add oil if needed. Knead well. When the dough is ready then make small balls of it as many as desired.
  • STEP 3.Now use your hands and spread the dough on a wood plate. Using a sharp knife take the fafda out. Take out smooth fafda .
  • STEP 4.Take a pan, add edible oil (refind oil)  and fry the fafda. Wait for effervescence.
  • STEP 5.Make sure you cook both sides of fafda. Once ready serve with hot chilli and chaat.
