Ingredients for Espagueti Verde Recipe

  • 3 roasted poblano peppers skin, stem, and seeds removed
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 onion chopped
  • 2 teaspoon salt divided
  • 1 cup crema mexicana
  • 1-16 ounce package spaghetti
  • As required Water enough to cook the spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1-8 ounce package cream cheese
  • As required Queso Cotija topping

step 1

  • STEP 1.Roast the poblano peppers, remove the skin, stems and seeds, and chop the peppers.

step 2

  • STEP 1.To a blender add the roasted peppers, garlic, onions, and crema mexicana to blend until smooth.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Boil water in a stock pot. Add 1 tsp salt and cook spaghetti. In a stock pan melt some butter and add pepper, salt and cream cheese. Cook for 5 minutes. Cook well and serve with cheese.
