Directions: Epic New York Cheesecake Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and prepare a springform pan by greasing the sides and lining the bottom with parchment paper.
  • STEP 2.In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
  • STEP 3.In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add in the sugar, sour cream, vanilla extract, and flour. Mix until well combined.
  • STEP 4.Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Pour the filling over the crust in the pan.
  • STEP 5.Bake for about 1 hour or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for another hour.
  • STEP 6.Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool completely. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
  • STEP 7.To serve, carefully remove the sides of the springform pan. Slice the cheesecake into wedges and garnish with fresh berries or a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
  • STEP 8.Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure all the ingredients are at room temperature before starting.
  • Avoid overmixing the batter to prevent cracks in the cheesecake.
  • For a smoother texture, strain the batter before pouring it into the crust.

Storage and Serving

  • Store the cheesecake in the refrigerator, covered with plastic wrap or in an airtight container.
  • Serve chilled for the best taste and texture.
  • Garnish with fresh berries, whipped cream, or a dusting of powdered sugar before serving.
