Ingredients for Ellu Kozhukattai Recipe

  • 1/5 tablespoon Black Sesame Seeds
  • 1/20 cup Water to soak the sesame seeds
  • 0.15 tablespoon Jaggery powdered or shaved
  • 0.03 teaspoon Cardamom ground
  • 1/5 teaspoon Ghee use oil for a vegan version
  • 1/10 cup Rice flour i used store bought rice flour. you can use idiyappam flour also
  • 0.13 cup Water divided, refer notes
  • 1/10 teaspoon Gingelly oil
  • 0.03 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.30 tablespoon Gingelly oil for greasing the mold and steaming plates
