How to Make Eenthapazham Achar Recipe

Cooking Directions

STEP 01

Wash the dates. Remove the seeds and slice vertically to 2-3 pieces each. In a pan heat about 2 tsp oil. Add ½ tsp mustard seeds.

STEP 02

Add 2 stem curry leaves when the mustard splutters. Add1 tsp each of chopped ginger, chopped garlic and chopped green chili. Saute the ingredients.

STEP 03

Now add 1 tbsp chilli powder and 1/4 tsp turmeric powder. Mix the ingredients well with the ladle.

STEP 04

To the pan transfer the sliced dates. Pour in ½ cup of water and mix well. Cook with 2 tsp of sugar. Mash the dates with the ladle and continue cooking on a medium flame.

STEP 05

Finally add a pinch of salt and 2 tbsp of vinegar. Turn off the flame when the mix comes to boil. Date pickle is ready.
