Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.To make the koftas, boil the green jackfruit until tender and mash it along with boiled potatoes.
  • STEP 2.Add spices like ginger, garlic, green chilies, cumin powder, coriander powder, and garam masala to the mashed mixture.
  • STEP 3.Shape the mixture into small balls and deep fry them until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.To make the gravy, heat oil in a pan and add onions, ginger, and garlic. Cook until golden brown.
  • STEP 5.Add tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
  • STEP 6.Blend the mixture into a smooth paste and return it to the pan. Add water and simmer for a few minutes.
  • STEP 7.Add the fried koftas to the gravy and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
