Ingredients for Easy Mongolian Beef Recipe

  • As required Ingredients for marinade
  • 2 tablespoon Chinese cooking wine
  • 0.33 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch
  • 1.50 No.s Egg white
  • As required Ingredients for beef
  • 5 gram Beef,cut into mm thick slices and marinated 400
  • 2 cup Oil
  • As required Ingredients for sauce
  • 2 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce
  • 3 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 0.67 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Dark soy sauce
  • As required Ingredients for stir fry
  • 400 gram Beef
  • 1.50 tablespoon Oil
  • 1.50 tablespoon Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger
  • 1 bunch spring onion
  • As required Prepared sauce

Directions: Easy Mongolian Beef Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 cur 14 oz beef into 5 mm thick slices.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 add it to a bowl and add 2 tbsp chinese cooking wine, add ⅓ tsp salt, ½ tsp pepper powder, ¼ tsp baking soda to tenderise the meat. Mix well to coat all the slices of beef. Keep aside to marinate for 30 minutes.

  • STEP 3.3 after 30 minutes add ¼ cup cornstarch to the beef and mix well.

  • STEP 4.4 add 1 ½ egg white and mix it well to ensure that every piece is well coated. Massage the beef for another 5 minute to tenderize the meat.

  • STEP 5.5 in a wok, heat 2 cups of oil to 370 degree fahrenheit .

  • STEP 6.6 add the beef one slice at a time to prevent them from sticking together.

  • STEP 7.7 stir gently and fry for 1 to 2 minutes till the edges turn slightly golden colour.

  • STEP 8.8 use a sieve and remove the beef from the hot oil. Shake the sieve to drain off the excess oil. Keep aside.

  • STEP 9.9 for the sauce, in a mixing bowl add 2 tsp cornstarch, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 3 tbsp soy sauce, 3 tbsp of brown sugar, ⅔ cup of water, 1 tsp dark soy sauce for colour. Mix well and set it aside.

  • STEP 10.10 heat a pan and add 1 ½ tbsp of oil, 1 ½ tbsp minced garlic, 1 tbsp minced ginger, small bunch white part spring onion cut into short pieces. Stir till fragrant.

  • STEP 11.11 add the prepared sauce to the pan and stir till the sauce thickens.

step 12

  • STEP 12.12 at this stage add the fried beef slices to the pan and mix together to ensure that all the beef is well coated with the thick shiny sauce.

  • STEP 13.13 lastly, add a small bunch of the green portion of the spring onions cut into short pieces .

step 14

  • STEP 14.14 toss together well. Turn off the heat and transfer the mongoloian beef to a serving bowl.

step 15

  • STEP 15.15 serve hot with white rice.
