Ingredients for Easy Chinese Green Beans Recipe

  • 1 pound Green Beans
  • 3 ounce Ground Pork
  • 30 gram Dry shrimp
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Minced
  • 1/2 tablespoon Minced ginger
  • As required Dry hot red chillies
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar

Directions: Easy Chinese Green Beans Recipe

  • STEP 1.In a bowl soak 30 gm dry shrimp in water for 30 minutes.

  • STEP 2.After 30 minutes, drain the shrimp.

step 3

  • STEP 3.Roughly chop the shrimp. Keep it aside.

  • STEP 4.Wash and string 1 lb green beans.

  • STEP 5.Break them into short pieces and keep aside.

    • STEP 6.1 put the wok on the heat and add 1 ½ tbsp oil. Do not wait for the oil to get hot.

    • STEP 7.2 add 1 lb green beans broken into short pieces and fry on medium low heat for 5 to 8 minutes.

    • STEP 8.3 if the wok begins to emit smoke, do not add water. Reduce the heat to low. Keep stirring the beans till the skin gets black spots or blisters. Add ½ tsp salt and stir well.

    • STEP 9.4 take the beans out of the wok and set them aside.

    • STEP 10.5 add another 1 tbsp oil to the wok and add 1 tbsp minced garlic,½ tbsp minced ginger, and some slit dry hot red chillies as per taste. Stir fry till they are fragrant. Push the ginger garlic chillies to the side.

    • STEP 11.6 then add 3 oz of ground pork and 30 gm minced re-hydrated shrimp. Stir well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes till the pork mince changes colour. Keep string to break up any lumps in the pork.

    • STEP 12.7 mix together with the ginger garlic chillies to combine well.

    • STEP 13.8 at this stage add the green beans back to the wok and toss together.

    • STEP 14.9 then add 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp sugar, ½ tsp salt. Mix well together till all the flavours are well combined. Turn off the heat and transfer the chinese green beans preparation to a serving bowl.

    • STEP 15.10 serve hot with white rice.
