  • 310 gram Chicken breastcut into thin slices
  • 3 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Water
  • 2 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1/2 Egg white
  • As required Ingredients for sauce
  • 2 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon White pepper or black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Grated garlic
  • 1/2 cup Chicken Stock
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dark soy sauce
  • As required Ingredients for stir fry
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 310 gram Chicken marinated
  • 1 cup Broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup Carrot

Directions: Easy Chicken And Broccoli Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Cut 11 oz chicken breast into half lengthwise and then cut thin slices at an angle. Place the chicken slices in a bowl.
  • STEP 2.To the chicken add 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp water, 2 tbsp cornstarch, ½ tsp salt, ½ egg white and mix by hand till well combined and the chicken is well coated with the marinade ingredients.
  • STEP 3.Continue massaging the chicken for minutes till the chicken gets a velvety texture.Cover the bowl and let the chicken marinate for 20 minutes.
  • STEP 4.For the sauce, in a small bowl add 2 tsp cornstarch, ½ tsp white pepper or black pepper, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tsp grated ginger, 1 tsp grated garlic, ½ cup chicken stock, and ½ tsp dark soy sauce. Mix well to dissolve any lumps and set aside.
  • STEP 5.For the vegetables, prepare 1 cup broccoli florets, ½ cup carrot slices for colour.
  • STEP 6.Heat a pan on high heat and add the cut broccoli and carrot slices. Toast them on the dry hot pan for a few minutes till the broccoli get black char spots on one side. Then flip them over and let the other side of the vegetables toast as well. When well toasted, turn off the heat and transfer the vegetables to a bowl.
  • STEP 7.Place a wok on the stove and turn the heat to the highest level. Add 2 tbsp oil and allow it to get hot.
  • STEP 8.Then add the marinated chicken slices to the hot oil. Using a spatula separate the slices so they cook evenly and do not stick to each other.
  • STEP 9.Spread them out to ensure that every piece of chicken is touching the hot surface of the pan.
  • STEP 10. Fry for 1 to 2 minutes on high heat till the slices are well browned on the bottom. Then flip them over to fry on the other side.
  • STEP 11. When both sides of the chicken slices are golden brown, add the toasted vegetables to the wok and toss together with the chicken.
  • STEP 12. At this stage add the prepared sauce mixture and mix together well.
  • STEP 13. Stir till the sauce thickens.
  • STEP 14. When every piece of chicken and vegetable is well coated with the thick glossy sauce, turn off the heat.
  • STEP 15. Serve the chicken and broccoli with white rice.
