  • 1/2 cup Grated Bottle Gourd
  • 1/4 cup Wheat Flour
  • 0.06 cup Besan
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger Paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Green Chili Paste
  • 1/2 tablespoon Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sesame Seeds
  • 2.25 Y Leaves
  • as per your need Oil For Sauteing

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl, combine grated bottle gourd, wheat flour, besan, turmeric powder, chili powder, ginger paste, green chili paste, coriander leaves, salt, and oil.
  • STEP 2.Mix well to form a soft dough. If the dough is too sticky, add more wheat flour.
  • STEP 3.Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into cylindrical or oval-shaped dumplings.
  • STEP 4.Steam the dumplings in a steamer for about 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
  • STEP 5.Once cooked, remove from the steamer and let them cool slightly.
  • STEP 6.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, sesame seeds, and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 7.Add the steamed dumplings and sauté for a few minutes until they turn golden brown.
  • STEP 8.Serve hot with chutney or yogurt.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to squeeze out excess water from the grated bottle gourd before adding it to the dough.
  • You can add grated carrots or spinach to the dough for added nutrition and flavor.
