Ingredients for Dudhi halwa (louki halwa) Recipe

  • 100 gm louki
  • 1/5 litre Milk
  • 1/10 cup Sugar
  • 1/20 cup Milk powder
  • 2 Pieces Pista
  • 1/5 teaspoon Cardemom powder
  • 1/5 As Required For Ganishing Silver foil
  • 1/5 Tbsp asli ghee

Directions: Dudhi Halwa (louki Halwa) Recipe

  • STEP 1.Always take fresh louki. Rinse the louki under water. Peel the skin and grate it with grater and squeezed it.
  • STEP 2.Bring 1litre full fat milk in a heavy bottomed kadai. When the milk boil reduce the flame. The milk must reduce to half. Then add squeezed and grated louki. Cook stirring continuously on a medium to low flame for 10minutes. When milk is absorbes fully then add sugar.
  • STEP 3.Sugar will release water. Cook the halwa for 5minute on low flame by continuous stirring.
  • STEP 4.Add milk powder. Again cook the halwa until the halwa turns thick. Add ghee and mix it in halwa very well.Add cardemom powder.
  • STEP 5.Pour the halwa in plate and garnish with sliced pista and silver foil.
