  • 1 kilogram Duck
  • 2 cup Onion ginger garlic paste
  • 4 Cardamom
  • 3 stick Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Panchfuron
  • 2-3 Bay leaf
  • 2-3 Dried red chillies
  • 1 teaspoon Meat masala
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Carom powder
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • 4 Nos Green chillies
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • tablespoon A Few Mustard oil
  • As required Salt

How to Make Duck Meat And Potato Curry Recipe

step 1

STEP 01

Clean and cut the duck into small pieces.

STEP 01

in a large bowl marinate the duck in salt turmeric and lemon juice for 1 to 2 hours.

STEP 01

wash and cut 6 to 8 potatoes in halves.

step 4

STEP 01

in a deep pan, heat a few tsp of mustard oil and add 1 tsp panch furon, 2 to 3 dry red chilies and 2 to 3 bay leaves.

when browned add 2 cups onion ginger garlic paste. Saute on medium flame for 8 to 10 minutes. Add salt and 1 tsp turmeric powder and mix well.

STEP 01

next add 1 kg marinated duck and cook on high flame for 15 to 20 minutes.

STEP 01

add 1 tsp meat masala, 1 tsp cumin carom powder, 1 tsp black pepper powder and mix well. Then add 3 to 4 green chilies. Optionally add a few tsp red chili paste.

add 6 to 8 potatoes halved and stir them into the curry. Cook on medium flame for 10 minutes.

then add 1 cup of water and cover the vessel. Cook for 15 minutes on medium heat. Check the curry, stirring intermittently.

continue cooking for upto 45 minutes. Add 3 cardamom and 3 sticks of cinnamon ground. Stir and cook for 15 minutes.

STEP 11

10 mash some potatoes in the gravy.

STEP 12

11 duck curry with potatoes is ready.

STEP 13

12 serve hot with steamed rice.
