Ingredients for Drumstick flower Dosa Recipe

  • 1 cups Raw rice - (washed and soaked in fresh water for hours).
  • 0-1/4 cup Drumstick flowers .
  • As required One fully grated coconut .
  • 0.06 teaspoon Turmeric powder .
  • 0.06 teaspoon hing .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 0-1.50 as required Red chilli or.

Directions: Drumstick Flower Dosa Recipe

  • STEP 1.1. Clean the fresh and tender drumstick flowers. Completely remove the stem and avoid the broken flowers .
  • STEP 2.2.Wash the flowers and buds in fresh water 3-4 times . Drain the water using a sieve or colander or you can simply dry them by keeping on a clean cloth .
  • STEP 3.3.Next, proceed to make the batter . grab a blender, add one fully grated coconut ,spicy red chillies, ¼ tsp turmeric powder and soaked raw rice . Blend it into a .smooth batter . Add hing and mix well . The batter should be of free - flowing consistency .
  • STEP 4.4 . Add the cleaned flowers and buds in the batter in parts so as to get them coated evenly .
  • STEP 5.5.Keep the batter covered for 15 minutes before making the dosa.
  • STEP 6.6.Grease the cast iron tawa or any other tawa with oil .
  • STEP 7.Add a ladleful of batter on the tawa and spread over . Cover it with a lid and let it cook on low flame for 5 minutes. After 5 mins remove the lid and flip over. Wait for another 4 minutes. Pair this dosa with a cup of fresh curd .
