  • 1/2 cup Double Beans, Soaked Overnight
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 Tomatoes, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped Coriander Leaves

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Start by soaking the double beans in water overnight. Drain and rinse them before cooking.
  • STEP 2.In a pressure cooker, heat oil and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger-garlic paste, chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  • STEP 4.Add the soaked double beans and water to the pressure cooker. Close the lid and cook for 4-5 whistles or until the beans are tender.
  • STEP 5.Once the pressure is released, open the cooker and add coconut milk. Simmer the curry for 5-7 minutes until the flavors are well blended.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
