Ingredients for Dhokla Recipe

  • 1/4 cup samolina
  • 1/4 cup Curd
  • 1/4 tsp Suger
  • 1/4 tsp Ginger-green chilly paste
  • as required Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Eno fruit salt
  • as required water
  • 1/2 tsp Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard seed
  • a pinch Hing
  • 1/4 tbsp Curry leaves
  • 1/2 pieces Green chili slit
  • 1/4 tbsp Chopped coriander leaves

Directions: Dhokla Recipe

  • STEP 1.👇in a bowl add samolina, curd, suger, ginger-green chilly paste and salt to taste and mix well to form a thick batter. Rest for 30 minutes or till samolina absorbs moisture.
  • STEP 2.👇further add water as required and mix well. Additionally add enough fruit salt. Mix gently till the batter turns frothy.
  • STEP 3.👇transfer to the greased plate. Steam the dhokla batter for 15 minutes.
  • STEP 4.👇prepare the tempering by heating oil. Further add hing and mustard seed. Once the mustard seeds splutter add in curry leaves and slit green chili. Saute for a while and spread the tempering over dhokla. Also sprinkles coriander leaves.
  • STEP 5.👇cut the dhokla in desired shape and serve.
