  • 200 gram chhola
  • As required r dal
  • 18 gram Salt
  • 42 gram Sugar
  • 10 gram green chillies
  • 120 gram total water
  • 20 gram vegetable oil
  • 80 gram grated coconut
  • 70 gram ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon hing
  • 20 gram roasted peanuts
  • 1 tablespoon maida
  • As required Vegetable Oil
  • As required FOR THE CURRY
  • 80 gram mustard oil
  • 5 piece dried red chillies
  • 5 piece bay leaves
  • 5 piece Cardamom
  • 1 piece Cinnamon
  • 5 piece Cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 300 gram Potatoes
  • 8 gram cumin powder
  • 5 gram coriander powder
  • 5 gram Turmeric
  • 3 gram kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 50 gram Tomato
  • 6 piece green chillies
  • 400 gram Hot water
  • 15 gram Ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon Bengali garam masala

step 1

  • STEP 1.Grind the bengali gram,green chilies, sugar and water

step 2

  • STEP 2.In a pan fry the grated coconut and add ginger paste,cumin powder,turmeric and hing

  • STEP 3.Add the paste and fry

  • STEP 4.Add peanuts and mix well

step 5

  • STEP 5.Grease a surface and make the paste flat on it and cut the dhokla into diamond shapes

  • STEP 6.Make a slurry of maida and water

step 7

  • STEP 7.Grease the surface of the dhokla with the slurry

  • STEP 8.Deep fry the dhokla until brown

  • STEP 9.Make a paste of ginger paste,cumin powder,coriander powder, turmeric powder,kashmiri red chili powder, hing

  • STEP 10.Heat a pan with mustard oil

  • STEP 11.Add dried red chilies, bay leaves,cardamom,cloves and cinnamon , temp it

  • STEP 12.Add cumins seeds and potatoes to fry

  • STEP 13.Fry until golden

  • STEP 14.Add grated coconut and the spices paste

  • STEP 15.Mix well and cook

  • STEP 16.Add salt and sugar

  • STEP 17.Add tomatoes and green chilies

  • STEP 18.Cook for 5mins

  • STEP 19.Add hot water

  • STEP 20.Add the dhokla one by one

  • STEP 21.Cook for 3mins
