Easy homemade dhaba style egg curry cooked in a one pot method using an electric cooker.Egg Curry is a deliciously rich onion tomato gravy, tastes exactly like the ones you get in dhabas. These are perfect with some rice or paratha and fresh salad on the side.

  • 4 No.s hard boil eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard Seed
  • 4 No.s Red chillies
  • 3 No.s Cloves
  • 2 No.s Green cardamoms
  • 1 No.s Black cardamom
  • 1 No.s Bay leaf
  • 1 inch Ginger finely chopped
  • 4 No.s Garlic cloves fine chopped
  • 1 No.s Onion Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 1 cup Tomato puree
  • 2 tablespoon Curd
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • As required Salt
  • As required Chopped coriander leaves for garnish A few

Directions: Dhabba Style Egg Curry In Electric Cooker Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Hard boil 4 eggs, cool and shell them. Keep aside.

  • STEP 2.1 turn on the electric cooker and press the menu button, then press plus button till number (p15) saute mode. Let the pan preheat on saute mode for 2 to 3 minutes.

  • STEP 3.2 then add 1 tbsp ghee, ½ tsp cumin seeds, ½ tsp mustard seeds and allow to crackle. Add 4 broken red chillies, 3 cloves, 2 green cardamoms, 1 black cardamom and 1 bay leaf. Saute for 2 to 3 minutes.

  • STEP 4.3 next add1 inch ginger finely chopped, 4 cloves garlic fine chopped and 1 onion finely chopped. Saute till onions are lightly brown and softened.add ¼ tsp asafoetida, 1 cup tomato puree and give it a stir.

  • STEP 5.4 add 2 tbsp curd, ½ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp garam masala powder, 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder ,1 tsp coriander powder and salt to taste. Mix to combine all the masalas well with the tomato puree and curd. Check the seasoning and adjust the salt and masala powders if required.

  • STEP 6.5 at this point add 4 full hard boil eggs and cover the pressure cooker.

step 7

  • STEP 7.6 click on keep warm mode, then press menu and press the plus button till (p12) gravy mode. The curry will cook in about 15 min and the cook will go back to keep warm mode which is oh. Wait till the pressure releases , the red nozzle will go down or immediately lift up the weight to release the pressure.

step 8

  • STEP 8.7 then open the pressure cooker. Add chopped coriander leaves and serve the dhaba style egg curry.
