A very popular Sri Lankan spicy snack made with fried fish and vegetables to serve your tastebuds.Deviled fish, a Sri Lankan style, fish stir fry with chunks of tuna or sail fishs combined in a spicy sauce.Also mixed into this are wedges of onion, capsicum and tomatoes, giving this fish stir fry recipe extra crunch.

Ingredients for Devilled Fish Recipe

  • 400 gram tuna fish
  • 2-3 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1-2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 2-3 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 2.50 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoon Flour
  • 2 tablespoon cornflour
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 1 No.s egg
  • As required Oil For Frying
  • 2 tablespoon tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chilli sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar
  • 4-5 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • As required Handful curry leaves
  • 4-5 No.s pandan leaves
  • 1 No.s onion petal
  • 1/2 No.s chopped capsicum
  • 1/2 No.s chopped yellow bell pepper
  • 1/2 No.s chopped tomato
  • 2-3 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • As required Salt

Directions: Devilled Fish Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 in a bowl take your fish and add turmeric powder, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste and give it a stir. And keep it aside for 1 ½ hour to marinate.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 now add flour, corn flour, pepper powder and egg.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3 mix everything well

step 4

  • STEP 4.1 heat some oil in a apan and deep fry the marinated fish fixture in it until it turns golden brown.

step 5

  • STEP 5.2 in a bowl mix all the sauces and vinegar.

step 6

  • STEP 6.3 heat some oil in a pan and cook some ginger garlic paste in it.

step 7

  • STEP 7.4 now add curry leaves, pandan leaves, onion petals,capsicum, yellow bell pepper,chopped tomatoes, chilli flakes and sal.

step 8

  • STEP 8.5 mix everything well and add sauces to the pan.

step 9

  • STEP 9.6 add fried fish and a little bit of sugar, give it a nice stir and your devilled fish is ready to be served.
