Marinated chicken drumsticks coated in flour, egg and crushed potato crisps and then deep fried.The batter for this crispy, golden fried chicken from rapper and culinary star (have you seen Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party?), Snoop Dogg, has the most delicious secret: potato chips. Use any potato chips you like—sour cream and onion, jalapeño, or salt and vinegar would all work well here—but we're partial to using BBQ chips.

Ingredients for Deep Fried Potato Chip Chicken Drumstick Recipe

  • 500 gram Chicken Drumsticks
  • 2 No.s Eggs
  • 50 gram Plain flour
  • 100 gram Plain crisps
  • 1 tablespoon Light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce
  • 10 gram Ginger
  • 10 gram Ground black pepper
  • As required Salt

Directions: Deep Fried Potato Chip Chicken Drumstick Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 take 500 gm drumsticks and make slashes on both sides of each drumstick.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 place drumsticks in a bowl, add 1 tbsp soy, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 10 gm thinly shredded ginger, 10 gm ground black pepper, salt and mix together well.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3 leave to marinate for 1 hour.

step 4

  • STEP 4.4 place 100 gm plain crisps in a plastic bag and then crush until coarse texture is attained

  • STEP 5.5 break 2 eggs into a bowl and whisk. Keep aside.

step 6

  • STEP 6.6 place 100 gm plain flour in a bowl.

step 7

  • STEP 7.7 dip each drumstick in the flour and ensure that they are evenly coated.

step 8

  • STEP 8.8 then dip each one in the bowl of egg and place them in the plastic bag with the crushed chips.

step 9

  • STEP 9.9 once all the dipped drumsticks are in the bag ,shake well to ensure that all get evenly coated with the coarsely crushed chips. Then remove from the bag and keep aside.

step 10

  • STEP 10.10 in a wok heat 1 ltr oil over medium heat and add the drumsticks one at a time into the hot oil and turn the heat to low.

step 11

  • STEP 11.11 deep fry on each side for 10 to 12 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through..

step 12

  • STEP 12.12 then remove and drain.

step 13

  • STEP 13.13 serve hot with tomato ketchup.
