Ingredients for Date And Tamarind Chutney Recipe

  • 1 cup Dates pitted
  • 1/2 cup Jaggery
  • 1/4 cup tamarind deseeded
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon black salt
  • 1 teaspoon dry ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • As required Salt

Directions: Date And Tamarind Chutney Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.into a pressure cooker add 1cup pitted dates,½ cup jaggery, ¼ cup deseeded tamarind and 1 cup of water.

step 2

  • STEP 1.pressure cook for 3 to 4 whistles and allow the pressure to release naturally.

step 3

  • STEP 1.blend the ingredients into a coarse mixture.

step 4

  • STEP 1.add 1 tsp red chlli powder, 1 tsp black salt,1 tsp dry ginger powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, salt to taste and a little water. Mix well.

step 5

  • STEP 1.simmer for 3 to 4 minutes and turn off the heat.

step 6

  • STEP 1.allow to cool completely and store in the refrigerator.
