Ingredients for Dal tadka Recipe

  • 1/10 Cup toor dal
  • 0.03 Cup masoor dal
  • 1/20 Cup moong dal
  • 1/10 Tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/5 Tsp Salt as per taste
  • 1/5 Inch greated ginger
  • 1/10 Tsp garam masala
  • 0.40 Inch finely chopped green chillies
  • 1/5 Tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 Inch crushed garlic
  • 1/5 Tsp coriander powder
  • 1/10 Tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1/10 Tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/20 Tsp asafoetida
  • 0.40 Tbsp clearify butter or ghee or oil
  • Handful coriander leaves
  • 0.40 Cup water or as per need
  • A Bunch finally chopped onions
  • 0.40 Pieces To finely chopped tomatoes
  • 1/5 Tsp dry fengureek powder
  • 0.40 Tsp Vegetable oil or butter
  • A Few Whole red chilli
  • 0.60 Tsp cloves finely chopped garlic

Directions: Dal Tadka Recipe

  • STEP 1.2-3 tsp oil or ghee 1/4 tsp cumin seeds Some coriander leaves for garnishing
  • STEP 2.🌿 soak all pulses for half an hours take a pressure cooker add all pulses and water and cook until 3 (whistles) arrives or until pulses are cook well then add turmeric powder and salt and mix well
  • STEP 3.🌿Now take a pen heat ghee or oil splutter cumin then add chopped garlic ginger green chillies and soute slightly
  • STEP 4.🌿 After that add onions & soute until it turns golden brown
  • STEP 5.🌿Now keeping the flame is low then add turmeric red chilli powder kashmiri red chilli powder coriender powder and salt
  • STEP 6.🌿Now add tomatoes and soute until it turns mashy and soft after that add garam masala and cook pulses or dal and mix well and stir well adjusting consitentency as required
  • STEP 7.🌿Now simmer for 5-7 minutes then turn off the gas now add coriander leaves and kasoori mathi or dry fengureek
  • STEP 8.🌿Now take a tadka pen heat the ghee or oil add cumin seeds crackle then add garlic whole red chilli hing and kashmiri red chilli powder and switch off the flame
  • STEP 9.🌿Now put this tadka on the cooked pulses or dal now dal tadka is ready to serve you can serve with rice roti or Nan
  • STEP 10.🌿I can serve with jeera rice roti curd rayta and salad and enjoy
