#restaurant This dish is often ordered while eating in restaurant. Its kind of a main course item, easy to digest and delicious in taste. I have prepared restaurant style dal khichadi which is different than usual khichdi orepared at home.

Ingredients for Dal khichadi Recipe

  • 1/4 cup Pigeon Pea dal
  • 1/4 cup miong daal
  • 0.13 cup masoor dal
  • 1/2 cup Rice
  • 1 Pieces Dry red chilli
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 g reen Chilli
  • 1/2 tbsp Garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger paste
  • 1 tsp n cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Coriander leaves
  • A Pinch Hing pinch of
  • 1/2 Pieces Onion
  • 1/2 Pieces Tomato
  • 1 tsp Dhaniya jeera powder

Directions: Dal Khichadi Recipe

  • STEP 1.Soak all 3 dals together in water for 1 hour and rice for 15 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Cook the e8ce using open vessel cooking method so that grain remain seperate.
  • STEP 3.Add 1 tsp ghee to the pressure cooker.add 1 tsp cumin seeds and hing.
  • STEP 4.Add the soaked daal into pressure cooker. Add pinch of turmeric powder and salt and 1 green chilli..cook upto 4 whistle. Now in a pan add ghee. Add cumin seeds. Now add garlic paste, ginger paste, chopped green chillies and long and thin slit onions. Cook till it become translucent. Now add tomatoes and dry red chilli and saite till tomato is cooked. Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, dhaniya jeera powder and saute it Add daal, rice and some water to adjust the consistency. Add salt to taste. Now mix well. Cook till you get the exact consistency. lastly mix in it some fresh coriander leaves.
