Dal gosht is a hyderabadi delicacy of mutton cooked with lentils. Traditionally chana dal (bengal gram lentil) is used for this preparation but a mix of all lentils too can be made use of to prepare at times. Choice is yours. But today i made, using chana dal. This recipe calls for a spicy and a tangy gravy which i enjoy best with any type of rice preparation.

  • 62.50 gram Mutton on bones
  • 0.13 cup chana dal
  • 1/2-3/4 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 onions, chopped
  • 1/4 stick Cinnamon
  • 1/2-3/4 green cardamoms
  • 1.25-1.50 c;oves
  • 1/4 large tomato, chopped
  • 1/4 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1/4-1/2 tablespoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • As required Salt
  • 1/4-1/2 sprig curry leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon tamarind paste
  • As required coriander leaves, green chilies, chopped onion and ginger julienne to garnish
