Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and asafoetida. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 2.Add chopped onions and saut茅 until golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
  • STEP 4.In a bowl, whisk together gram flour, yogurt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt.
  • STEP 5.Add the gram flour mixture to the pan and cook on low heat until the raw smell of besan disappears.
  • STEP 6.Add water to adjust the consistency of the gravy and simmer for a few minutes.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.
