Ingredients for Dahi Vada Cake Recipe

  • 1/4 cup - Urad daal
  • 0.13 cup - Moong daal
  • As required - Aashirvaad Salt
  • 1/4 nos pinch - Asefoetida
  • 1/4 nos sachet - Eno
  • 1/4 cup - Hung curd
  • 0.06 tsp - Aashirvaad red chilli powder
  • 0.06 tsp - Aashirvaad chaat masala
  • 0.06 tsp - Roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp - green chutney
  • 1/2 tsp - Tamarind chutney
  • 1/2 tsp - Pomegranate pearls
  • 1/4 tsp - Sev
  • 1/4 tsp - boondi

Directions: Dahi Vada Cake Recipe

  • STEP 1.Soak urad dal and moong dal for 3- 4 hours . Grind into thick and fluffy paste with very little water .
  • STEP 2.Add salt , pinch of asafoetida and whisk well for aeration. Now add Eno to it and mix well .
  • STEP 3.Grease a round cake tin and pour batter into it .
  • STEP 4.Steam for 20- 25 minutes (like dhokla) .
  • STEP 5.Cool slightly and demould it carefully .
  • STEP 6.Place the Steamed vada cake on the plate.
  • STEP 7.Add salt to hung curd and apply generously to the cake.
  • STEP 8.Sprinkle red chilli powder , chat masala and roasted cumin powder to it.
  • STEP 9.Dizzle green chutney and tamarind chutney to it.
  • STEP 10.Garnish with pomegranate pearls, green coriander, sev and boondi.
