Dahi Murgh is a semi dry North Indian chicken curry, where the chicken is cooked in a very light yogurt gravy with spices.

Ingredients for Dahi Murgh Recipe

  • 1/4 kg Chicken
  • 0.13 cup Ginger+garlic paste
  • 1 Pieces Onions
  • 1/4 Pieces Capsicum
  • 1/4 cup thick curd
  • 1/2 Pieces Tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp chicken masala
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 0.38 tsp Chilli powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1.50 tbsp Ghee

Directions: Dahi Murgh Recipe

  • STEP 1.Firstly, clean the chicken pieces.
  • STEP 2.Marinate chicken pieces with half of Curd, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder, Chicken masala and salt for 2 hours.
  • STEP 3.Heat ghee in a pan.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped tomatoes and saute.
  • STEP 5.Put chopped onions in it and fry till golden brown in colour.
  • STEP 6.Add chopped coriander leaves.
  • STEP 7.Add marinated Chicken with masala.
  • STEP 8.Add remaining curd and mix well.
  • STEP 9.Cook on high flame till oil starts separate.
  • STEP 10.Add chopped capsicum.
  • STEP 11.Add a little water and cook on low flame till Chicken pieces tender.
  • STEP 12.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with pulao or naan.
