  • 1/4 cup Whisked Yogurt
  • 1/4 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Boil the potatoes until they are tender. Peel and cut them into cubes.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Then add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Mix well.
  • STEP 4.Add the cubed potatoes and cook for a few minutes. Then add whisked yogurt and salt. Mix everything together.
  • STEP 5.Cover the pan and let the potatoes cook in the yogurt gravy for about 10 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to boil the potatoes until they are tender but not mushy.
  • You can adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less red chili powder.
  • For a richer flavor, you can also add a teaspoon of ghee while tempering the cumin seeds.
