Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak the lentils and rice in water for a few hours.
  • STEP 2.Grind the soaked lentils and rice into a smooth batter.
  • STEP 3.Add salt, turmeric powder, and ginger-green chili paste to the batter.
  • STEP 4.Mix well and let the batter ferment for a few hours.
  • STEP 5.Grease a steamer plate and pour the batter into it.
  • STEP 6.Steam the batter for about 15-20 minutes or until cooked.
  • STEP 7.Once cooked, remove from the steamer and let it cool.
