  • 125 gram Prawns, Cleaned And Deveined
  • 1/4 Green Coconut
  • 1/4 cup Grated Coconut
  • 1/2 tablespoon Mustard Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Clean and devein the prawns, and marinate them with spices, coconut, and mustard oil.
  • STEP 2.Cut the top of the green coconut and scoop out the flesh, keeping the shell intact.
  • STEP 3.Fill the coconut shell with the marinated prawns and cover it with the coconut flesh.
  • STEP 4.Seal the coconut with aluminum foil and cook it in a preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
  • STEP 5.Serve the Daab Chingri hot, garnished with fresh coriander leaves.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to use fresh prawns for the best flavor and texture.
  • You can adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less chili powder.
  • If you don't have access to green coconuts, you can use regular coconuts or even banana leaves to cook the prawns.
