We are aware on the traditional Falafel but this is a twist to the traditional one adding chopped curry leaves, chopped green chillies and chopped coriander leaves and using Chickpea flour to bind the Falafel

Ingredients for Curry Leaves, Green Chillies, Chickpeas Falafel Recipe

  • 1/5 cup Chickpeas
  • 0.60 g 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/5 tsp Cumin seeds crushed
  • 0.60 tbsp Chickpea flour
  • A Stalk Coriander leaves chopped
  • A Stalk Curry leaves chopped
  • 1/5 As Required Lime juice
  • As Required Salt
  • 1/5 cup Oil to fry
  • 1/5 As Required medium size onion Chopped fine

Directions: Curry Leaves, Green Chillies, Chickpeas Falafel Recipe

  • STEP 1.Soak Chickpeas overnight. Drain, wash and add to blender. Make a coarse paste, Add to a bowl
  • STEP 2.Add chopped Green chillies, garlic crushed, chopped onions, chopped coriander leaves, chopped curry leaves. Mix well
  • STEP 3.Add lime juice, salt and coarsely crushed cumin seeds, mix well.
  • STEP 4.Gently add Chickpea flour to bind. Wet your palm and take a ladle and form a ball.
  • STEP 5.In a wok heat oil and gently add the balls, fry on medium flame until golden in colour.
  • STEP 6.Plate and enjoy
