Directions: Curried Green Gram-potato Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the green gram for 2 hours.
  • STEP 2.In a pressure cooker, add soaked green gram, chopped potatoes, turmeric powder, salt, and water. Cook for 3-4 whistles.
  • STEP 3.In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and curry leaves.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 5.Add ginger-garlic paste, green chili, and tomatoes. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  • STEP 6.Add cooked green gram and potatoes to the pan. Mix well.
  • STEP 7.Add red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
