  • 1 Tomatoes, Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 1/2 tablespoon Lemon Juice

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Rinse the moong beans thoroughly and soak them in water overnight.
  • STEP 2.Drain the water and transfer the soaked moong beans to a clean cloth. Tie the cloth and keep it in a warm place for 8-10 hours to sprout.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, and sauté for a minute.
  • STEP 5.Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
  • STEP 6.Add the sprouted moong beans and mix well. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the sprouts are tender.
  • STEP 7.Finally, add chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice. Mix well and turn off the heat.
  • STEP 8.Serve the Crunchy Moong Sprouts as a snack or as a side dish with rice or roti.
