Ingredients for Crock Pot Chicken And Shrimp Alfredo Recipe

  • 1/4 Onion
  • 3/4 Cloves Garlic
  • 3/4 Chicken Breasts
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dried Thyme Leaves
  • 0.13 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Package shrimp
  • 0.13 cup Parmesan cheese
  • Nos 1 package fetuccine pasta
  • 1/2 Cups Heavy cream
  • 0.13 Cup Unsalted Butter, Melted
  • As required Salt And Pepper
  • 1/4 Cup Chicken broth or stock

Directions: Crock Pot Chicken And Shrimp Alfredo Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt a bit of butter or oil, and then sauté the chicken until it's no longer pink. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  • STEP 2.In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink. The shrimp doesn't need to be fully cooked at this stage, as it will continue to cook in the slow cooker. Remove the shrimp and set them aside with the chicken.
  • STEP 3.In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the heavy cream, chicken broth, unsalted butter, minced garlic, and dried Italian seasoning. Stir continuously until the butter is melted and the mixture is well combined.
  • STEP 4.Stir in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese into the sauce, and continue stirring until the sauce thickens and the cheese is fully melted. Place the chicken and shrimp in the slow cooker. Pour the prepared Alfredo sauce over them. Stir gently to coat the chicken and shrimp with the sauce.
  • STEP 5.Cover the slow cooker and cook on the low setting for about 2-3 hours. It's important not to overcook the seafood, so keep an eye on it. While the chicken and shrimp are cooking, cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta.
  • STEP 6.Just before serving, add the cooked and drained fettuccine to the slow cooker. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.

Cooking Tip

  • The alfredo sauce is creamier if you use heavy cream instead of milk or light cream.

Serving Tips

  • Serve the Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo hot, garnished with 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese.
