How to Make Crispy Prawn Balls With Wasabi Mayo Recipe


1 in a mixing bowl place 250 gm finely chopped raw prawns, add 2 gm finely chopped ginger, finely chopped white part of 2 spring onions, 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1 tsp potato starch or sweet potato starch, salt to taste, 1 tbsp water and mix together to well combine all the ingredients.


2 in a small bowl combine 3 tbsp mayonnaise and 1 tbsp wasabi sauce and mix well. Set aside for dipping.


3 in a wok heat ½ ltr oil over medium heat, use 2 spoons to shape the prawn mixture into balls and place them in the hot oil. Deep fry for 4 minutes.


4 when golden and cooked through, remove and drain the balls.


5 arrange on a plate and serve with the prepared wasabi mayonnaise.
