Ingredients for Crispy Paneer Pakora Recipe

  • As required Ingredients for pakoras
  • 400 gram Paneer
  • As required Ingredients for pakora batter
  • 1 cup Gram flour
  • 2 tablespoon Rice flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida powder
  • 1/4 No.s E fruit salt tsp
  • NaN As required Salt
  • As required Ingredients for garlic chutney
  • 1/2 cup Garlic whole peeled cloves
  • 8-10 No.s Dry red chillies
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 Juice of lemon
  • 1/4 cup Water for grinding

Directions: Crispy Paneer Pakora Recipe

  • STEP 1.To make pakora batter, in a mixing bowl add 1 cup gram flour (besan) ,2 tbsp rice flour, ¼ tsp turmeric (haldi) powder, ½ tsp red chilli powder, ¼ tsp asafoetida (hing) powder, ¼ tsp enos fruit salt for crispness and salt to taste. Mix together.
  • STEP 2.Then add water a little at a time and mix to make a thick coating batter. The batter should be free of lumps and should evenly coat the back of the spoon.
  • STEP 3.To make the garlic chutney, in a grinding jar add ½ cup whole peeled garlic cloves, 8 to10 dry red chillies,1 tsp cumin seeds, salt to taste , juice of 1 lemon and ¼ cup water. Blend to make a smooth chutney.
  • STEP 4.For the paneer pakora, slice the 400 gm slab of paneer lengthwise into two. Apple the garlic chutney on both slices. Put them together like a sandwich.
  • STEP 5.Cut the paneer into 2 inch pieces and dip into the pakora batter. Ensure that paneer is well coated.
  • STEP 6.While preparing the paneer and chutney, heat oil for deep frying in a kadai or deep pan.
  • STEP 7.Slide the coated paneer pakoras into the hot oil and deep fry on medium heat till browned and crisp. Remove from hot oil and place on kitchen paper towels to drain off excess oil.
