Crispy and delicious deep fried prawn balls flavoured with red chillies, spring onions, ginger garlic and fish sauce.These crispy Chinese shrimp balls make a fantastic party snack. Ingredients for Crispy Fried Prawn Meatballs Recipe

  • 1 kilogram Cooked prawns
  • 2 No.s Spring onions
  • 2 No.s Garlic Cloves
  • 4 No.s Red chillies
  • 2 teaspoon Fish sauce
  • 1/2 piece Ginger
  • 50 gram Breadcrumbs
  • 20 gram Coriander
  • 1 tablespoon Cornflour
  • 100 gram Sweet Chilli Sauce
  • As required Salt
  • 1 liter Oil

Directions: Crispy Fried Prawn Meatballs Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 place1 kg roughly chopped cooked prawns in a food processor, blend till coarse and transfer to a large mixing bowl.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 add 2 finely chopped spring onions, 2 cloves finely chopped garlic, ½ cm finely chopped ginger, 2 to 4 red chillies, 2o gm finely chopped coriander, 1 tbsp cornflour, 1 tsp fish sauce and mix all the ingredients together well.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3 take 1 tbsp of the mixture in the palm of hand and roll into a ball.

step 4

  • STEP 4.4 then roll in 50 gm breadcrumbs till evenly coated. Keep aside on a plate.

step 5

  • STEP 5.5 when all the balls are rolled, cive the plate with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for 25 to 30 minutes.

step 6

  • STEP 6.6 in a wok heat 1 ltr oil and add the prawn balls one at a time . Do not crowd the wok. Fry the balls in batches.

step 7

  • STEP 7.7 deep fry for 5 minutes till golden on all sides and cooked through.

step 8

  • STEP 8.8 remove from the oil and drain off the excess oil.

step 9

  • STEP 9.9 serve hot with 100 ml sweet chilli sauce.
