Ingredients for Crispy Breaded Tofu Steaks Recipe

  • 1/2 Oil ltr
  • 400 gram Tofu
  • 2 Eggs Nos
  • 80 gram Bread crumbs
  • 4 tablespoon Cornflour
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 tablespoon Ground white pepper
  • As required Salt

Directions: Crispy Breaded Tofu Steaks Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1. cut 400 gm tofu into 5 m long, ½ inch thick slices.

step 2

  • STEP 1. arrange on a plate and sprinkle a little salt over the slices.

  • STEP 1. in a bowl crack 2 eggs, add ½ tsp ground cumin, ½ tsp ground white pepper, salt to taste.

  • STEP 1. whisk well to combine all the ingredients.

  • STEP 1. place the 4 tsp corn flour in a plate and dip each slice of tofu in the corn flour.

  • STEP 1. next dip the slice in the beaten egg.

  • STEP 1. arrange 80 gm bread crumbs in a wide bowl and coat the slice well with the breadcrumbs.

step 8

  • STEP 1. arrange the coated slices on a plate.

step 9

  • STEP 1. heat ½ litre oil in a deep pan on medium.

step 10

  • STEP 1.when the oil is hot add the tofu slices one at a time and deep fry on both sides till golden.

  • STEP 1.flip over to ensure that the slices cook evenly. Do not overcrowd the pan.

  • STEP 1.when the slices are evenly golden, take them out of the pan and drain off any excess oil on a kitchen paper towel.

step 13

  • STEP 1. arrange the slices on a plate and sprinkle with ½ tsp cumin powder and ½ tsp white pepper powder.

  • STEP 1. serve hot.
