Ingredients for Creamy Herbed Potato Garlic Soup or Cream of Potato Soup Recipe

  • 1/2 g 1 big
  • to taste Salt
  • 4 g 8-10 g
  • 1/2 g 1 big
  • 1/2 tsps 1-1.5 tsps
  • 1/4 tsp Paprika: Optional
  • 1 tbsps 2 tbsps
  • 1 g Cheese Slices: Processed- Roughly Torn
  • 1/4 cup Milk: Any or Alternatively
  • As Required Fresh Cream can also be used
  • 1 tbsps EVOO/Canola Oil
  • 0.13 cup Fresh Coriander Leaves: Finely Chopped
  • 0.13 cup Bread Crumbs: Optional (Garnish)
  • sprig 1-2 Fresh Sprig
  • As Required arnish: Your Way

Directions: Creamy Herbed Potato Garlic Soup Or Cream Of Potato Soup Recipe

  • STEP 1.First Up: Wash & Cut up the veggies to get them ready for the next following procedures

  • STEP 2.Heat up a frying pan over medium flame: Add in the oil & butter admixture (that’s what I usually do while preparing any creamy soups, you use your own discretion)-
  • STEP 3.Once that’s hot- Throw in the veggies one by one & sautĂ© until they’re all transparent and turn aromatic
  • STEP 4.Add in the seasonings & dry herbs & spices-
  • STEP 5.Mix everything well together until nicely combined and well blended to be finely incorporated-
  • STEP 6.Once that’s done- In goes the milk, mix well (flame to be either at the lowest at this point or turned off & then, post mixing it well then turn it on again)- This ensures, the milk won’t curdle while mixing due to the temp. differences
  • STEP 7.Allow it to cook for at least 10-12 mins for the veggies to be soft & well cooked-Once, the soup mixture’s thickened substantially, add in the cheese slices pieces to it & let it melt properly-
  • STEP 8.This would help the mixture to turn thick, creamy & smooth in its texture-
  • STEP 9.Exactly, the one we want it to be like
  • STEP 10.Once done turn off the flame and let it cool down properly before blending into the thick soupy purĂ©e and again, transfer it back to the same pan where it’d been cooked initially (this I do, in order to retain all its flavours absolutely intact in it until it’s completely well cooked & done)-
  • STEP 11.Add in some more warm water to it, in order to adjust its consistency, since post purĂ©ed it’d be extremely thick
  • STEP 12.Mix everything well together until nicely combined and well incorporated-
  • STEP 13.In goes some more freshly cracked black peppers & sprinkles of paprika, finely chopped coriander leaves, giving it all a very good mix together-
  • STEP 14.Checkout the seasonings at this point and adjust accordingly, if necessary
  • STEP 15.Turn off the flame and cover it for sometime in its standing position for another 5-6 mins time before serving it piping hot with your choicest condiments with it to accompany-
  • STEP 16.Either in your Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner Tables-
  • STEP 17.Transfer it to a separate Soup Bowl/s, & arrange your platter accordingly
