Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, mix together corn flour, gram flour, chopped onions, green chilies, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and water to make a smooth batter.
  • STEP 2.Heat a non-stick pan and grease it with oil. Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin pancake.
  • STEP 3.Cook the chilla on medium heat until it turns golden brown and crispy on both sides. Flip it over and cook the other side as well.
  • STEP 4.Remove the chilla from the pan and serve hot with chutney or yogurt.
  • STEP 5.Repeat the process with the remaining batter to make more chillas.
