- 1/2 cup Orange juice
- 1/2 cup Lime Juice
- 1-3 ounce package achiote paste
- 1/2 teaspoon Oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon whole cumin
- 2 whole clove
- 1/2 teaspoon black peppercorn
- 1/4 piece Cinnamon Stick
- 10 garlic cloves
- 1/4 onion chopped
- 2 teaspoon Salt
- As required For the pork
- 4 pound pork shoulder chopped
- 9 feet banana leaves
- 1/2 cup Water
- As required To Serve
- 1 dozen corn tortillas for tacos
- As required Pickled Red Onions

How to Make Cochinita Pibil Recipe
STEP 01
Add all the marinade ingredients in a blender to blend
STEP 02
In a container add the chopped pork and the marinade over the pork
STEP 03
Coat the pork and refrigerate for 4hrs
STEP 04
Heat banana leaves and cook the leaves
STEP 05
Place the pork the in the banana leaves and cover
STEP 06
Heat water in the pot and cook them for 8hours on low heat
STEP 07
Discard the leaves
STEP 08
Serve as tacos or corn tortillas and red onions
