  • 0.67 Tomatoes, Finely Chopped

  • 0.17 teaspoon Turmeric Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak the flattened rice in water for 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  • STEP 2.In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds, chopped onions, and green chilies. Saute until onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
  • STEP 5.Add boiled chickpeas and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Add the soaked flattened rice and mix gently. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to soak the flattened rice just enough to soften it, but not too much that it becomes mushy.
  • Adjust the spice levels according to your preference.
  • You can add a squeeze of lemon juice for a tangy flavor.
