Its one of the daily recipe made in Kerala very often in many homes during colder weather. Dried ginger, black pepper, jeera, holy basil, etc, are used in this natural home remedy recipe.

Ingredients for Chukku Kaapi Recipe

  • 1 glass Water
  • 1 Rock candy medium size
  • 1 tablespoon Pepper
  • 2 No.s Cardamom
  • 1 Dry ginger medium size

Directions: Chukku Kaapi Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Crush with a pestle and mortar 1 medium size rock candy, 1 tbsp pepper, 2 cardamom and a medium size dry ginger.
  • STEP 2.In a saucepan boil 1 glass of water on a medium flame. Add the crushed ingredients once the bubbles form.
  • STEP 3.Cover the saucepan with a lid. Turn the flame to low heat.
  • STEP 4.Add the final ingredient that is coffee powder.
  • STEP 5.Turn off the flame and let the saucepan sit for another 5 minutes on the cooktop.
  • STEP 6.Serve the healthy and medicinal dry ginger coffee in a cup.

Special Comments

  • STEP 1.Palm jaggery can be used as an alternative for sugar candy.
