Chukkappam Recipe

Recipe By Slurrp

Tea time in Kerala is an affair to watch out for. In addition to a cup of tea, you are most likley to be served with a range of fried and steamed snacks, like banana chips and Murukku. Another, very fascinating snack is Chukappam, these are deep-fried bites made of rice flour, which makes it extra crispy. Ther round and crunchy snack are also relished with a serving of beef fry.  Mkaing Chukappam is a cakewalk if you have all the ingredients in place. In a wide pan or urali mix some rice flour with sesame seeds, eggs and coconut milk. Make a smooth and pliant dough. Pull out some coin-shaped chunks and deep-fry until golden brown. Serve as it is, with a cup of tea, or toss it up with a serving of beef-fry. Drooling much, follow the recipe and make it today.
