  • 1.10 Red Chili Peppers
  • 0.45 Lic Cloves
  • 1/10 inch Ginger
  • 1/10 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/5 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/20 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 0.03 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 1/5 tablespoon Vinegar
  • 1/10 teaspoon Sugar

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak the red chili peppers in warm water for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Drain the water and grind the soaked chili peppers, garlic cloves, ginger, and salt to a smooth paste.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
  • STEP 4.Add the ground chili paste and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring continuously.
  • STEP 5.Add vinegar and sugar. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Remove from heat and let it cool.
  • STEP 7.Transfer the chukh to a sterilized jar and store in the refrigerator.
  • STEP 8.Serve as a dipping sauce or accompaniment to various dishes.
