Papas chorreadas is a typical Columbian side dish recipe born in Andean zone of the country these creamy potatoes are delicious with meat dishes as a side dish. Red potatoes covered in a delicious sauce made with scallions, tomatoes, cream and cheese. You can also make a vegetarian version of papas chorreadas using vegetable bouillon instead of chicken bouillon.

Ingredients for Choreadas Recipe

  • 12 No.s medium sized Yukon gold potatoes
  • As required Kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 No.s sliced onion
  • 1 can drained tomatoes
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 170 gram grated cheese

Directions: Choreadas Recipe

  • STEP 1.1 - boil the potatoes in salt water for 20 minutes.

  • STEP 2.2- in a pan heat some olive oil and cook onions till they fry.

step 4

  • STEP 3.3 - add tomatoes and cook until no water is left.

step 5

  • STEP 4.4 - add heavy cream and cook for 2 minutes.

step 6

  • STEP 5.5 - place the potatoes in a plate and add sauce on top.

step 7

  • STEP 6.6 - top it with grated cheese and your papas chorreadas is ready to be served.
