How to Make Choo Chee Recipe

Cut and wash the fish, slightly cut them so that the curry will get in simply.

step 2

Add 1/4 cup of the coconut milk to a cooking pan or a saute pan wide enough to carry the fish and convey to a boil. Add curry paste and cook by stirring occasionally and reduce it till thick and till the oil starts separating from the paste.

step 3

Add the remaining coconut milk, palm sugar, and fish sauce; stir to combine and simmer till the sauce has thickened to the required consistency. When its done add the kaffair leaves to it and let them infuse.

step 4

Pat the fish dry and add oil to a large pan to coat the base of the pan and heat it over medium-high heat. Once the oil becomes hot enough add fish to the pan and cook well from both the sides until it becomes golden brown.

step 5

Remove from heat and transfer the fish onto a serving plate. Pour the sauce around the fish, and serve hot.
