I have to admit that making a sushi recipe without having to roll or deal with the nori (seaweed) and the mat is a wonderful solution for those of us who love sushi.

  • 1/2 cup Japanese rice
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 1/4 Piece of kombu
  • 1/4 cup Rice vinegar
  • 3/4 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Avocado, Thinly Sliced
  • 1/4 stick Carrot cut into thin
  • 1/4 Japanese cucumber, julienned
  • 1/2 Scallions, finely sliced diagonally
  • 1.50 Prawns, cooked and chopped
  • 1.50 ounce Salmon fillet, cut into thin strips
  • As required Triangles of fried salmon skin
  • As required Sunflower seed sprouts, for garnish
  • As required Wasabi, to taste
